Job summary

Azria Health in Winterset, IA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to oversee nutrition services in our Long Term Care facility. This PRN, 8 hours per week role focuses on assessing residents, developing personalized plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in nutrition or dietetics, has completed at least 900 supervised hours, and is licensed or certified as a registered dietitian, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (or master's) degree in nutrition or dietetics from an accredited program.
• Completion of at least 900 hours of dietetics practice supervised by a RD or nutrition professional.
• Licensure or certification as a registered dietitian or nutrition professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food and nutrition services provided to residents in our facilities, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services Manager and clinical staff to develop and implement effective food and nutrition plans.
• Conduct assessments and care plans to determine residents' nutritional needs and develop personalized plans to meet those needs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for food and nutrition services, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide education and training to staff on food and nutrition-related topics.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care and services are provided to residents.
