Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will coordinate daily workflow, prepare contrast media as required, and ensure proper patient identification and safety protocols.

Requirements include a formal Radiology Technology Program, ARRT certification or registry-eligibility within 1 year, and BLS. Prior patient-care experience is preferred, with strong communication skills and attention

Qualifications

• Formal Radiology Technology program completion in an AMA-approved facility.
• ARRT registration required or registry-eligible within 1 year of hire.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history for each procedure on physician requisition.
• Verifies patient identity before procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as needed.
• Consults with radiologist and physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and positions patients according to procedure.
