The position requires ARRT certification, state radiologic licensure if applicable, and BLS. Minimum 4 x 12-hour shifts per month with rotating weekends and holidays are expected, with a commitment to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• State licensure as Radiologic Technologist where applicable.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• May complete MA Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in clinic or InstaCare.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares for exam.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits and may assist students and other Radiology Techs.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Maintains infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates equipment and related systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting equipment failures.
