Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and perform MA function in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patients for exams and verifies identity and orders.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines in all tasks.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort during imaging.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
