Job summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs x-ray procedures to produce images for diagnosing disease processes at multiple locations within The University of Kansas Health System, including Liberty Hospital, as a PRN role. The position requires competence with fixed and mobile x-ray devices and participation in training student technologists.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and completion of a 2-year radiology program; ARRT and LRT licenses are required within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Graduate of a 2 year accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Licensure: ARRT certification; LRT licensure for Kansas locations within 90 days; Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience in high acuity, surgical and outpatient settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Competent with all x-ray equipment (fixed and mobile).
• Provide services across department locations.
• Support patient safety and infection control.
• Assist in training student technologists.
• Contribute to process improvement and education within Radiology.
• Ensure timely patient care and satisfaction.
