Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a PRN / Per Diem basis in Orlando, FL. You will prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, position them correctly to capture quality images, and operate radiology equipment for X-ray, fluoroscopy, and CT exams.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of Registered Radiologic Technologist experience, a current state license, ARRT or CMRT certification, BLS, and ongoing CE

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Must hold ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
• Current with continuing education in all fields of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures and explain the scan process.
• Position the patient to capture appropriate images.
• Operate equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue.
• Complete requisitions and schedule exams accurately.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CT exams, both in the department and with portable equipment.
• Inject IV contrast media, as needed.
• Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols.
• Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer related questions.
• Move and transport patients to and from the department, as required.
• Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
• Attend required in‑services and orientations.
• Collaborate closely with floor staff to facilitate excellent patient care.
