Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking a Radiologic Technologist PRN to join our diagnostic imaging team. You will perform radiographic exams, ensure image quality, and provide compassionate care while coordinating daily operations under the supervision of the site Radiologist.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT R.T. (R) or registry eligible.
  • BLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year experience preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all facility healthcare professionals and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of radiography equipment, patient positioning, and diagnostic imaging standards.

Responsibilities

  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and HIPAA/privacy regulations.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation of radiology equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform radiographic examinations as ordered with high-quality images meeting standards.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures and adjust exposure factors.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety during transport and exams.
  • Administer contrast agents under Radiologist guidance and minimize exposure.
  • Document patient care in department records and address care-related issues.
  • Maintain a clean, professional environment and participate in professional development.
