Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide clinical radiology services in accordance with department and hospital standards. You will operate x-ray equipment, follow protocols and maintain patient safety. You will verify patient identity, explain procedures, and collaborate with radiologists to optimize image quality.

You will also maintain equipment and workspaces, perform QC checks, and document data in PACS/RADIANT while adhering to sterile technique and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Preferred clinical training in a Radiologic Technologist program and healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT Radiology Technician license required by LSRTBE.

Responsibilities

• Review scans with radiologists when needed to identify important details.
• Confirm patient identity, body part, and side before each exam.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ease anxiety.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Input and verify data in PACS/RADIANT and follow safety policies.
