Certification as an X-ray Technician, state licensure, and teamwork are required; orthopedic experience is a plus and strong communication is essential.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PRN X-ray Technologist to join our orthopedic practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, assisting orthopedic surgeons, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in supporting our medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of patients Duties Perform X-ray examinations on patients, following safety protocols and guidelines. Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to reduce anxiety. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images. Ensure proper use and maintenance of X-ray equipment. Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining accurate imaging records. Collaborate with physicians to ensure the use of appropriate imaging techniques for orthopedic diagnoses. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the imaging area. Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding radiation exposure. Assist with patient scheduling and manage X-ray requests as needed. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and best practices.
Certification as an X-ray Technician from an accredited program. Valid state licensure to practice as an X-ray Technician. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience in an orthopedic setting is a plus. Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology would be beneficial, but not required Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing compassionate care. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility. Occasional lifting of patients and equipment may be required. Radiation exposure; must follow safety guidelines.
