Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Boulder, CO seeks a PRN Radiation Therapist to join our continuous cancer care team. This entry-level RTT role delivers precise radiation therapy under a radiation oncologist's direction, maintains treatment records, and supports scheduling and billing accuracy.

The position requires ARRT certification, a completed accredited radiotherapy program, and a valid state license. Typical responsibilities include preparing patient molds, operating treatment planning

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • 0–3 years experience as an RTT (entry level).
  • ARRT certification required and state license valid.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the EMR.
  • Assists in scheduling and submitting correct billing information; cuts blocks when applicable.
  • Creates custom molds for patients as needed.
  • Performs simple MU calculations.
  • Interprets computerized treatment plans.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Radiation Therapist in Boulder.

Salary Range: $40.00-$55.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc

Responsibilities
  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
  • Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information. -Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
  • Accurately makes custom molds.
  • Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. Position is entry level and requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medi cal preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.

All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.

Candidates will be required to show proof of being vaccinated against influenza upon commencing employment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
