Job Responsibilities

Performs radiographic and CT procedures at a professional level requiring minimal supervision. The technologist must exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to ensure high-quality images and relevant information for diagnosis by the physician.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education, Certification, and Licensure:
    • For WV, Ohio, MD: Certified by ARRT in Radiography or NMTCB Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
    • Radiologic Technologist certification through state board or applicable state authority.
    • Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • CT Certification by ARRT.
    • Two years of experience in Radiology or CT.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Participate in documenting and evaluating clinical performance of student radiographers.
  2. Perform daily QA procedures on equipment.
  3. Complete documentation for procedures accurately.
  4. Employ safety techniques for patients and staff.
  5. Utilize communication devices for patient care.
  6. Perform IV insertions and blood draws.
  7. Conduct diagnostic X-ray and CT exams as ordered.
  8. Assist radiologists with interventional procedures.
  9. Administer contrast agents per protocol.
  10. Use 3D Vitrea workstation as per protocol.
  11. Utilize PACS for exam management and review.
  12. Ensure accurate data entry and study transmission.
  13. Demonstrate proficiency with CT scanners, pressure injectors, Accuvein, etc.
  14. Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and document results.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to perform physical activities such as walking, standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in environments with exposure to bodily fluids, radiation, and infectious materials.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to perform complex technical tasks, work under stress, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and follow instructions. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts is required.
