Safe Kids Worldwide (Safe Kids) is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting kids from preventable injuries, the leading cause of death for children in the United States. As a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with Children's National Hospital, Safe Kids provides resources to help parents and caregivers prevent injuries from car crashes, fires, falls, poisoning, and more. Through over 400 coalitions nationwide, Safe Kids collaborates with hospitals, trauma centers, first responders, and public health experts to deliver evidence-based, life-saving information to families, regardless of location, to influence behavior change. Our work encompasses research, education, awareness, and public policy, contributing to a 60% reduction in childhood unintentional injury deaths since 1988.
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) will implement activities under the NHTSA cooperative agreement, focusing on Conduct Course and CEU Audits. Responsibilities include performing in-person and desk audits for National CPS Certification Courses, auditing Continuing Education Units (CEUs), providing feedback, and developing corrective action plans. Remote location is eligible, but travel is required.
