Job summary

Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis in Chipley, Florida. You will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, operating therapy devices, and documenting progress. The role offers flexible scheduling, a supportive team, and opportunities to contribute to patient recovery

Qualifications

• Must have associate degree from an accredited PTA program (APTA).
• Licensed to practice as PTA in the state of Florida.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred; active membership in state/national PT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision of licensed PT and physician orders.
• Assist with treatments for patients within PTA scope of practice.
• Operate therapeutic equipment and devices (crutches, walkers, iontophoresis, e-stim, traction, heat/cold).
• Record daily treatment notes and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
• Follow treatment plan developed by PT and provider.
