Job summary

Gulfport Behavioral Health System is seeking a PRN Program Therapist to join our inpatient social services team. The therapist will provide and coordinate social services for military inpatients, including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as case management and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy to inpatients and document progress.
• Conduct group and family therapy as part of treatment plans.

• Attend rounds, unit and hospital meetings, and follow-up care planning.
• Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment when needed.

Position Summary:

Come grow with us! Join our inpatient services team in the Social Services Department as a PRN Program Therapist. The Therapist provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to military inpatients. This includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, attending/conducting unit and hospital meeting, discharge/care planning and follow-up.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Prefer two (2) years’ experience and in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Military knowledge or background strongly preferred.

Licensure: LCSW, LMSW or LPC license to practice in the State of Mississippi preferred.
