Job summary

Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center in New Iberia, LA, is seeking a PRN Staff Physician to provide independent medical care to our adult patient population. The normal work period consists of 80 hours over two weeks, with hours varying to meet patient demand.

The physician will prescribe medications, supervise support staff, and deliver comprehensive primary care across age groups, reporting to the Medical Director for consultation and administrative support.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved and accredited Medical School.
• Licensed to practice Medicine in Louisiana with DEA Certification.
• Board Certification or board-eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care independently to adult patients in a primary care setting.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Supervise medical support staff and coordinate with Medical Director.
• Deliver pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric care as needed.
