Job summary

Charlotte Surgery Center is a dynamic ambulatory surgery center in Port Charlotte, FL, seeking a Per Diem Preoperative Postoperative Registered Nurse. The role involves patient positioning, prepping, and post-case monitoring, with support in the procedure room and anesthesia recovery.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. The ideal candidate has RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years in PACU or

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and monitoring after cases.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate discharge preparation.
