Job summary

Endoscopy Center of Northern Ohio is seeking a PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team. You will deliver pre-operative and post-operative care, monitor patients, and coordinate with the surgical staff in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of critical care or surgical-surgery center experience, strong nursing judgment, and excellent communication skills. Weekdays only; no weekends or holidays; competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• A minimum of one year of experience in critical care required; surgical setting experience and cardiac monitoring strongly desired.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in the Pre-Op/PACU area.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs; respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and ancillary staff to ensure safe transitions.
• Maintain patient comfort, safety, and privacy in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
