Job summary

The Weisiger Cancer Institute at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center seeks a PRN Physicist II to support clinical operations in our radiation oncology departments. The role covers staff vacations and may involve remote and in-person work at multiple centers in NC.

Ideal candidates hold a CAMPEP-accredited degree and ABR/ABMP certification with a minimum of 3 years in radiation oncology physics. Strong QA and safety protocol experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Medical Physics and CAMPEP accredited residency required.
• Minimum 3 years in radiation oncology physics; 5 years preferred.
• ABR or ABMP certification in therapeutic medical physics required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of radiation properties, treatment planning and delivery techniques to advise the oncology team on safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy.
