Job summary

SMG System Medical Group in West Virginia is actively recruiting a Physician Hospitalist at Weirton Medical Center to provide comprehensive inpatient care. You will join WVU Health System, a broad network of hospitals, clinics and institutes dedicated to patient safety and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO, complete residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and be eligible for West Virginia medical licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required; foreign-equivalent considered.
• Completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; WV medical license eligible.
• Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• All qualifications must be met by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

Duties:

Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients. As a full member of our WVU Health System, Weirton Medical Center is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes. Whether you are caring for our patients at one of the critical access hospitals, community sites, regional or academic medical centers, we are all one WVU Health System.

Qualifications:
