Job summary

Mercer University seeks a Physician Assistant for PRN/on-call coverage at our Jekyll Island clinic in Georgia. You will provide primary care under a physician, follow state scope protocols, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases, educating patients on prevention, and referring to specialists when indicated. A PA-C license and Master’s in PA Studies are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA-C license.
• At least 1 year of general clinic experience.
• DEA license or willingness to obtain is a plus.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to patients under supervision of a physician and state protocol.
• Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Emphasize preventive care and disease management.
• Refer patients to specialists when indicated.
