Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of healthcare experience.
• Current CMA certification for CMAs.
• Phlebotomy experience required for CMAs and preferred for MAs.
• CPR certification earned within six months of start date; current CPR preferred.
• Computer proficiency for patient check-in/out, payment posting, and scanning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong multitasking ability.
• Experience with an EMR system, preferably EMD and/or Athena.

Responsibilities

• Multi-task with multiple patients and handle appointment-related calls, refills, referrals, and authorizations.
• Work flexibly in different positions and departments as required.
• Document patient encounters in the EMR, including vitals, updates to patient information, and patient education.
• Perform all other assigned tasks within the scope of certification.
