Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Swansboro, NC is seeking a PRN Physician Assistant to support urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine across clinics. You will perform minor procedures, suturing, radiology reviews, and EKG interpretation while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have PA certification, a master’s degree, and strong communication skills; EMR and MS Office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant certification required prior to start date.
• Masters degree or higher required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• EMR and Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine across multiple clinics.
• Perform minor procedures including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Suturing and splinting as part of patient care.
• General orthopedic evaluations and management.
• X-ray review with Radiologist over-read.
• EKG interpretation.
• General dermatology, eye complaints, and GYN care.
• Treat patients of all ages with emergency management in fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine
• Minor procedures including toenail removals and foreign body removals
• Suturing and splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations and management
• X-ray review (with Radiologist over-read)
• EKG interpretation
• General dermatology, eye complaints, and GYN care
• Treating patients of all ages
• Emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting

Schedule:

• Shifts determined approximately two months in advance

MainStreet Clinic Hours:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

KidsStreet Clinic Hours (select locations only):

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Hours are subject to change based on company needs, training, float coverage, etc.
