Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician PRN to assist therapists and patients in planned care. The role involves preparing equipment, maintaining the treatment area, transporting patients, and performing clerical tasks as needed.

The position requires BLS certification; rehabilitation experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent; PT or OT student is a plus.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Rehabilitation services experience is preferred but not required.
• High school education or equivalent, or working towards diploma.
• Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy student is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as planned and directed by the appropriate therapist.
• Clean and prepare equipment and treatment areas as assigned.
• Perform tasks to ensure safe functioning within the department.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and supplies.
• Transport patients to and from therapy areas.
• Maintain supply inventory and place orders as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients and families.
