Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Kingwood, WV is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position within our in-house therapy team. The PTA will assist in delivering our treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist and collaborate with other rehab staff.

The ideal candidate holds a CAPTE-accredited PTA program degree, is licensed, and demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills. Travel to affiliated facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• PTA education from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Licensed PTA in good standing with state.
• Knowledge of therapy principles and documentation requirements.
• Ability to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client and reviewing medical history.
• Helps clients improve mobility and independence per treatment plan.
• Implements treatment plan with Physical Therapist and educates staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical records and billing information.
• Maintains documentation per rehab department requirements under supervision.
• Leads or participates in interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate.
• Assists staff/family training and education when applicable.
• Keeps supplies stocked and tracked through inventory.
