Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio, TX is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to support inpatient rehab services. You will work under supervision to deliver individualized exercises, monitor progress, and educate patients and families as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications include an AAS in PTA from an accredited program, Texas PTA license, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Prefer one or more years of experience in an Inpatient Rehab Therapy Setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience.
