Doctors Hospital of Williamsburg in Williamsburg, VA, seeks an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to provide one-on-one patient care and follow the plan of care under supervision of Rehab Services management.

The PTA will work with a multidisciplinary team including orthopedics, pelvic floor, sports rehab, lymphedema, vestibular and hand therapy to maximize function and relieve pain. Requires an Associate Degree in PTA and a VA license; CPR/BLS within 30 days.

• Associates Degree in PTA or CAPTE graduate.
• Virginia PTA license upon hire (required).

Responsibilities

• Follow plan of care and perform PTA procedures as delegated.
• Assess patients and interpret data to identify needs.
• Record progress and report results to the physical therapist.
• Treat patients with exercise, massage, gait and balance training.

The Therapist is supervised by Rehab Services management and maintains a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.What you will doFollows the plan of care and performs PTA procedures as allowed by referral to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities.
