Job summary

Excelin Home Health in Roseville, CA seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide PT services under a Physical Therapist's supervision and the physician's plan of care.

You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and use of assistive devices, applying modalities as ordered. Strong communication and CPR certification are required, along with a valid PTA license and driving to patient homes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (AS/ASc) approved by the APTA
• CPR certification current
• Current state license or certification as required by state law
• Valid driver's license with insurance and reliable vehicle to travel to patient homes

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy under the direction of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance
• Lead patients in therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and prosthetic/orthotic training
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage as ordered
• Instruct patients on care and use of mobility devices (wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes)
• Perform other duties as assigned
