Job Overview

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Licensure:

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary licensure in West Virginia or applicable state. Permanent licensure within 90 days of employment.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in settings such as acute care, outpatient, SNF, or home health.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide coordinated patient care including assessment, treatment, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team.
• Apply research-based techniques to diagnose, prevent, or treat conditions affecting movement and function, with supervision and documentation review.
• Supervise PTAs, Rehab Techs, students, and volunteers.
• Participate in departmental goals and contribute to hospital objectives.
• Accurately bill for services via EMR according to policies.

Additional Requirements

• Complete annual education for specialty accreditation if applicable.
• Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 35 pounds, working with equipment, and maintaining visual acuity.

Work Environment

• Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals.

• Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills to ensure quality patient care.
