Qualifications

• Graduation from a Physical Therapy school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluations, treatments and education to patients and families.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures proper use/maintenance of equipment.
• Communicates with the patient care team, the patient, family, and others involved in care.
• Assesses the patient and identifies problems.
• Instructs and trains patient and family regarding care.
• Plans, develops and implements a measurable treatment plan with clear goals.
• Modifies the treatment plan according to patient responses.
• Plans treatment schedules to optimize staff and equipment use.
• Provides direct patient care and performs specialized treatments.
• Follows protocols to document patient program/setting details.
• Records daily charges for services rendered.
• Maintains sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Performs other related duties as required.
