Job description

We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This as-needed position offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patients' rehabilitation and recovery. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing overall physical function.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting patient evaluations and assessments under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

  • Implement prescribed therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.

  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, activities of daily living, and the use of assistive devices.

  • Monitor and document patient progress, treatment modifications, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Adhere to all ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and safety.

Qualifications:
  • Associate s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.

  • CPR certification (preferred).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting (preferred but not required).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Work Environment:
  • PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.

  • Work settings may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
