Job summary

Adoration Health is expanding to Boyton Beach and seeks an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to provide 1:1 patient care in a supportive team. You will assist a licensed therapist, implement exercises, and document progress for clients in independent living, assisted living, geriatrics or home health settings.

Flexibility and autonomy are emphasized, with opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates hold PTA certification, CPR, and TB testing, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited PTA training program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.
• Two-step TB skin test required and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment interventions.
• Administer therapeutic exercises to improve strength, mobility and function.
• Provide training and document rehabilitation results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report status changes to the team.
• Support the patient's plan of care as directed by clinicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Physcial Therapist in the implementation of treatment intervention
• Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients; strength, mobility and function.
• Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multi‑disciplinary team members as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant training program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.
• Current Live CPR Certification
• Two-step TB skin test required
• Proof of Auto Insurance
• Knowledge of evidence based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
• One year preferred
• New grads encouraged to apply
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Salary Range

USD $34.00 - $38.00 / Hour
