Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join its acute care team within the HCA Healthcare network in San Antonio, TX. You will assess patients, develop individualized therapy plans with physicians, and deliver evidence-based interventions to restore mobility and reduce pain.

You will monitor progress, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and collaborate with care teams to ensure seamless transitions during recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or higher
• Texas PT license (ECPTOTE) with grace period allowed on temporary license
• 1+ year experience in acute PT preferred
• BLS/CPR within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe practices.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from a university in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapy License issued by The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board – Grace Period of 90-180 days if on Temporary License status
• Prefer one or more years of experience in Acute Physical Therapy Setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
