Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Acute Occupational Therapist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and provide hands-on therapy to improve independence and quality of life.

Your role includes monitoring progress, adjusting plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Texas State Board OT license is required (Grace Period up to 180 days on Temporary License).
• BLS Certification is required or preferred.
• 1+ year experience in an acute OT setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and engagement in recovery.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Occupational Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners – Grace Period of 90-180 days if on Temporary License status
• Prefer one or more years of experience in an Acute Occupational Therapy Setting
• BLS Certification
