Job summary

Logan Health Whitefish is seeking a Lab Aide Phlebotomist to support the main Whitefish Hospital Lab and the Outpatient Draw Center. The role covers phlebotomy and specimen processing with emphasis on accurate labeling, patient identification, and timely communication.

Open shifts across the main lab and outpatient center, with PRN, variable hours. Logan Health offers a range of benefits and a collaborative, patient-centered work environment in Whitefish, MT.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience/completed coursework in phlebotomy or science preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Current CPR certification per assigned area(s).
• Possess and maintain computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits good judgment in venipuncture procedures and asks for help on difficult collections.
• Advocates for improved collection and ordering procedures in assigned areas.
• Serves as contact for inquiries and provides timely status of specimens.
• Orders and cancels tests accurately and ensures correct patient identification.
• Verifies patient identification prior to collection and labels specimens accurately.
• Maintains confidentiality and works well in a team or independently.
