Brigham City Community Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist/Phlebotomy Technician for PRN coverage in Brigham City, Utah. The role involves collecting specimens, processing and labeling according to procedures, and supporting the lab and patient care teams.

The position requires proficiency in venipuncture, specimen handling, and accurate documentation, with experience in registration and lab data entry. A vocational/technical degree is preferred and 1-3 years in a clinical lab setting is

• Effectively communicate with all personnel to exchange accurate and timely technical information.
• Requires 2+ years experience performing registration, clerical duties, and sending out of specimen processing.

Mansioni

• Demonstrates proficiency in venipunctures and/or finger sticks on pediatric, neonatal, adults and geriatric patients.
• Follows established procedures for patient identification and specimen collection based on test orders.
• Completes appropriate specimen collection documentation.
• Educates patient and/or family regarding specimen collection procedures prior to obtaining specimen.
• Uses computer information system relative to job functions.
• Responsible for clerical duties (faxing, phones, pneumatic tube system, reports).
• Reviews OSR and pending specimen issues; takes action as appropriate.
• Receives laboratory specimens into the LIS.
• Performs registration and order entry procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
