Job summary

PharmaPoint in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking PRN Pharmacy Technicians for in-person coverage. The position is part-time and will follow a 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. schedule, with hours set by the Pharmacy Manager.

Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist with dispensing, using the inventory system, verifying insurance, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient records. Qualifications include NC tech permit and national certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC Pharmacy Technician Permit.
• National certification (PTCB/ExCPT) preferred or required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient pharmacy care to customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records per HIPAA.
• Answer phone promptly and professionally.
• Keep work area clean and organized to maximize efficiency.
• Assist pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling, dispensing medications and supplies.
• Use inventory system to maintain proper stock and manage returns/expired items.
• Obtain authorization for pharmacy services and verify insurance coverage with patients.
• Enter prescription information into computer accurately (customer/prescriber search, drug selection, insurance billing).
• Maintain temperature logs and cleanliness per corporate policy.
