Job summary

Curant Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist in El Paso, TX to join our team and oversee the prescription fulfillment process within the pharmacy. This role serves as the link between patient, physician and pharmacy by managing dispensing, reviews, and quality assurance activities.

The successful candidate will have experience in retail or mail-order pharmacy, knowledge of HIPAA and 340B is a plus, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills to support our care teams and patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a retail or mail-order pharmacy environment preferred.
• 340B knowledge is a plus.
• HIPAA/ Patient Confidentiality guidelines knowledge required.
• Strong staff and patient relationship skills.
• Strong professional and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily prescription processing and quality assurance prior to fulfillment.
• Dispenser duties include HIV regimen review, drug interactions, and drug utilization reviews.
• Foster collaboration and effective communication among staff and patients.
• Proficient in completing daily prescription processing in Pioneer Rx and MedPlan.
• Coordinate with other departments via MedPlan to resolve QA issues before cycle filling.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (URAC, ACHC, NABP).
