Job summary

Curant Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist in El Paso, TX to manage the prescription fulfillment process and serve as the link between patient, physician and pharmacy. The role involves QA, dispensing, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of retail/pharmacy experience, knowledge of 340B, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments and with healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a retail or mail-order pharmacy environment preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/Patient Confidentiality Guidelines required.
• Knowledge of 340B program is a plus.
• Strong staff and patient relationship skills.
• Strong professional and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily prescription processing and ensure QA activities before fulfillment per SOPs.
• Review HIV regimens, drug interactions and drug utilization to ensure safe dispensation.
• Dispense medications and perform prescription pre-checks in MedPlan and Pioneer Rx.
• Coordinate with distribution centers, point of sale, and patients to resolve issues.
• Maintain effective communication across departments to resolve quality assurance concerns.
