Job summary

Fort Smith Emergency Hospital seeks a qualified Pharmacist to join our team on a PRN basis. You will assist customers by interpreting symptoms, dispensing medications, and referring to physicians when needed, while reviewing directives and ensuring safety.

You will perform immunizations, health screenings, and maintain records, with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and professional development in a fast-paced emergency care setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in pharmacy or pharmacology required.
• Proven experience as a pharmacist or recent graduate from an accredited program.
• Valid pharmacist license to practice.
• Knowledge of dosage, administration, chemical compounds, and brands.
• Proficient with pharmacy software and systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with pharmaceutical advances.

Responsibilities

• Compounding and dispensing medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor therapies, advise on interventions, and inform about side effects.
• Instruct patients on how to take prescribed medications.
