Job summary

Stop & Shop in Connecticut is seeking a Pharmacy professional to process prescriptions, counsel patients, and support community health initiatives. The pharmacist will oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires a PharmD degree, active license, and immunization certification, with flexibility for varied scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Immunization certification in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and verify prescriptions per state/federal laws and policies.
• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications with empathy.
• Serve as a bridge between patients, providers, and the community.
• Maintain patient and company information confidentiality.
• Support pharmacy growth initiatives and community outreach.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Administer immunizations and provide approved health services.
• Coach and mentor pharmacy technicians to deliver excellent service.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet operational goals.
