Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform duties in a community pharmacy setting at Quinco Mental Health Center in Jackson, Tennessee. The position is temporary and on an intermittent schedule.

Responsibilities include distributing prescribed medications, providing medication information, maintaining customer service, ensuring state board compliance, and immunization administration where allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist license in Tennessee.
• Preferred: certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Delivers a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Administers immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Pharmacy location: Located within Quinco Mental Health Center - 45 Executive Dr, Ste P, Jackson, TN 38305
Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday: 8AM-4:30PM; Closed for Lunch Daily: 12:30PM-1PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacyor PharmD

Current pharmacist license in state of Tennessee

Preferred Qualification:

• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 - $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
