Job summary

San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes in a hospital environment.

The role requires a BS Pharmacy Degree, NM pharmacist license, and BLS/ACLS certifications with at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience. The incumbent will contribute to policy development and education in a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Designs and continually improves pharmaceutical care programs.
  • Provides pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Assists Manager in preparing department policies and procedures and protocols.
  • Assists Manager in preparation for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings.
  • Ensures department education needs are met; provides medication management education.
  • Assists in precepting pharmacy students.
  • Implements SJRMC’s Service Standards: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, Stewardship.

Required Qualifications:

BS Pharmacy Degree Valid New Mexico Pharmacist license Maintain BLS and ACLS Certification Minimum of one (1) year hospital pharmacy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Clinical Experience IV Preparation Certification Chemotherapy Preparation Certification Good communication skills (written and verbal) Good leadership qualities Cooperative Energetic Good computer skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:

Subject to hazardous drug exposure (i.e. antineoplastics, antibiotics, anesthetic vapors and others) Subject to lifting twenty-five (25) pounds Standing or walking much of the shift
