Job summary

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a PRN (as needed) Pharmacist to be part of our Pharmacy Team. This role offers no nights or weekends and requires at least 2 weekdays for flexible scheduling, with a focus on high-quality patient care.

The Pharmacist will prepare medications, provide pharmacological information to a multidisciplinary team, and monitor patient drug therapies. North Carolina licensure and a BS Pharmacy are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with a BS Pharmacy degree and North Carolina licensure.
• Ability to work as needed in a PRN capacity and coordinate with a pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and provide pharmacological information to the health care team.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and collaborate with physicians.
• Maintain records, oversee narcotics custody, and ensure legal compliance.

What You'll Do:

The Pharmacist serves patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to a multidisciplinary health care team, and monitors patient drug therapies. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinates activities with pharmacist manager by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
• Consults with staff Physicians on the use, characteristics, and effects of drugs
• Maintains custody and control of narcotics
• Ability to recognize physical, chemical, and therapeutic incompatibilities
• Thorough knowledge of pharmacy, drug, narcotic, and related laws of the state of NC
• Monitor and analyse the health of the patient, with respect to the drugs that have been given to patient.
