The Registrar will collect patient demographics, confirm insurance and pre-certification, and ensure proper signatures and payment arrangements. PRN shifts include days, evenings, overnights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain account information and registration.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Secure signatures for treatment and related documents.
• Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and obtain identifying and insurance information.
• Verify benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status.
• Enter authorization numbers into the registration system.
