Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our nursing team and support RNs with hands-on patient care. You’ll assist with daily needs, monitor vitals, mobility, and personal care in a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include helping with patient preparation, dressing changes, keeping spaces clean, managing supplies, and communicating with patients and families to support safety and quality. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• CNA Certification or Education in lieu of credential or certificate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
