Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and attending to care needs.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, directs and assists them, and handles messages and mail for patients.
• Assists patients in/out of wheelchairs, monitors intake/output, and may collect specimens.
• Answers calls, operates paging, and assists during emergencies.
• Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services and coordinates appointments.
• Req1uests services such as Chaplain, social services, pastoral care as directed.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, chart preparation, transfers and death.
• Manages interdepartmental and patient mail.
• Maintains patient rooms, changes bed linens, and performs routine cleaning.
