East Wing at Lodi Hospital – Medical/Surgical Unit

This unit is used for swing, rehab, observation, and inpatient care. Caregivers here are versatile, flexible, and collaborative, wearing multiple hats. As a PCNA, you'll help create a welcoming, healing environment for patients. This role offers opportunities for educational advancement, skill development, and career growth in a supportive healthcare setting.

Shift Details

Shifts: 7:00AM - 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM, with weekend and one holiday per year required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, external monitoring, and Foley catheter removal.
2. Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient conditions to an RN.
3. Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician is considered

Preferred Qualifications

• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Certification

Physical and PPE Requirements

• Full body motion to move and lift patients, manual dexterity, extensive standing and walking.
• Medium Work: exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Follow standard precautions with appropriate PPE.
