Qualifications

• ASCP Certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Pathology Assistant role.
• Knowledgeable regarding histology department.
• Knowledgeable regarding surgical and autopsy pathology.
• Knowledgeable regarding identification of tissue specimens.
• Knowledgeable in preparation of frozen sections.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge and use of voice recognition.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures to prepare surgical specimens for diagnostic pathology under Pathologist’s direct supervision.
• Utilizes resources and techniques effectively according to established policies and procedures.
• Maintains skills and knowledge to promote the Pathology Department’s services.
