Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System is seeking a PRN/part-time Physical Therapist to cover outpatients when regular therapists are unavailable and to handle surge referrals.

The PT evaluates and treats patients referred by physicians in Georgia, following the APTA guidelines and state practice acts. Successful candidates must be licensed in Georgia, have graduated from an APTA-accredited program, and be capable of coordinating care with PTAs, OTs, and SLPs while maintaining accuracy in documentation

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an APTA or accredited PT program (BS, MS, or DPT).
• Broad clinical internship experience in varied settings.
• Knowledge of documentation and billing to meet state, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurer requirements.
• Ability to coordinate care with PTAs, OTs, and SLPs; collaborate with hospital staff.

• Evaluate and treat patients referred by licensed physicians.
• Supervise and participate in care of PTAs and Athletic Trainers.
• Comply with hospital policies and mission; support quality measurement and improvement.
