Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for full-time day shift.

The PT will evaluate and treat patients referred by a physician, supervise PTAs and athletic trainers, and ensure care plans align with GA regulations and hospital policies. The ideal candidate will hold a Georgia license, graduate from an APTA-accredited program, and bring broad clinical experience across settings.

Qualifications

  • Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Graduate of an APTA or other accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • Physical Therapists may have Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degrees.
  • Broad experience in a variety of clinical settings through internship programs.
  • Knowledge of documentation and billing that satisfies GA practice act and insurers.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate therapy with PTAs, OTRs, and SLPs.
  • Strong customer service and ability to relate to physician referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients referred by a licensed physician.
  • Supervise and participate in care of patients treated by Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants and Athletic Trainers.
  • Comply with hospital policies and support the mission and values of the hospital.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate therapy treatments with other therapy providers and staff.
  • Engage in clinical quality measurement and performance improvement activities.
